Q and A

Do you use only Original Manufacturers Glass on all your installations?
The majority of the glass that we use is OEM approved. All of our glass is NT DOT approved and passes National Safety Standards.

How long will it take for the adhesive to set up before I can safely drive my car?
The adhesive used to bond your new windshield will take up to 24 hours to fully cure. This information is provided to us in writing from the manufacturer that this cure time is safe.

Do you offer a lifetime guarantee against leaks and stress cracks?
We provide a lifetime guarantee on workmanship for all replacement windshields.

Are all of your installers NGA Certified or do they just learn on the job?
Our technicians must pass Glass Specialty's Certification Program. Glass Specialty Company's program is more rigorous than that of the National Glass Association. Our installers not only take a written exam, but undergo an extensive hands-on-training program.

Will I only be required to pay my insurance deductible or will there be other charges?
You will only be responsible for paying the deductible cost that you negotiated with your insurance company. Most insurance companies will pay the full cost of minor windshield repairs to prevent the crack from spreading and the need for a complete replacement.

Will you handle my billing to the insurance company and scheduling the job?
Yes

Will you give a written quote for any charges that I have to pay?
Yes

Do you offer windshield repair as an option?
Any savings on an auto repair job help to keep your insurance premiums at the lowest possible level. We always suggest bringing your car in for an evaluation in as soon as a chip or crack appears. Chips the size of a quarter or less usually can be repaired, but ignoring them can lead to spreading and ultimately a complete replacement.

Will you come to my office to fix my windshield?
Yes, just make arrangements with our local CSR, and we'll get your keys and return them when finished. We'll set up a convenient billing system for you. Being mobile is an important part of our business and we'll do our best to come to you.

Why should Glass Specialty service my autoglass?
On the surface, it appears that most autoglass companies are the same. We all use glass from the same manufacturers, but that's where the similarities end. At Glass Specialty Company, our installers are trained extensively, exceeding the standards of the National measurement tests. We take extra care to follow the guidelines set by adhesives manufacturers and educate the customer on cure times and the guidelines needed to ensure safety.
